I called AAA from their contact page, and said I have a suspected fraud call and voicemail.
They forwarded me to a support person.
This person stated I had received a voice mail from Christina in Retention at the correct time, however they could not confirm the number Christina called from.
So it was NOT a fraudulent call, however, we have no way to independently verify this.
This phone number is not listed on their webpage:
https://mwg.aaa.com/membership/contact-us
Nor are several more, as stated by the support person at AAA.
This is a problem with AAA making it so employees make outgoing calls from unlisted phone numbers.
They got my [first name] correct.
They got my [some digits] correct.
Either AAA is fucking up and not listing this number on their webpage, OR, my information has been leaked onto the internet by AAA's negligence. I have not yet been informed of this leak as of 2021-05-13.
Left a voicemail:
Hi [my first name], this is Christina with AAA insurance, I am giving you a call about your policy ending in [some digits]. I am reaching out to see if you have any questions or concerns about your auto policy. If so, please give us a call back.
Our telephone number is eight hundred, eight zero eight, seven zero five seven [800-808-7057].
We are open Monday through Friday, between 8am to 7pm local time.
Thank you for your business. Please have a great day
Supposedly caller is AAA but find it hard to believe they don't display caller ID. A good way for all their calls to be suspected spam. Caller left voicemail, vague and sounded like a recording. I won't call this number but instead if I need to contact AAA I will contact local office or on secure website. SHAME ON AAA if this is them but still have strong doubts.
