Received the same calI described by others: caller ID shows 800-841-3000, but the person on the phone asking me to call back on 800-841-2929. I called the standard Geico number (800-841-3000) and they confirmed that 800-841-2920 is a legitimate number for their claims department.

This is a scam. My 86 yr old friend got a call and said they needed to talk to him about an incident with a car he hasn't owned in over 2 years. SCAM!!!

Just got the call from a restricted number, they left a voicemail. They had our actual claim number from a recent claim but phone number to call back didn't match actual Geico number as others have posted. Wasn't the same guy we had been dealing with for our claim. Called number back just to see...once the automated machine asked for a date of birth to proceed we hung up.

Called Geico and they unaware who called. I have not make any claims to Geico and my car has been parked since 03/20...it's a SCAM!!!! Do not provide any information and call Geico Main # 800-207-7847

Real geico number. I got the call but had not filed a claim. Neither vehicle was mine. Geico is investigating. Either some type of insurance fraud or mistyped policy number.

Just received this call. Phone answering the call, with the number listed as 1 800 841 3000, but wanted me to call back at 1 800 841 2920. Said I had an accident a few days ago.. which I did NOT..and left a fake claim number. Her name was Shamie or Shamka.. I am reporting this to the Fraud Department of GEICO. Be very aware, this sounds like a very legit call.. but the number is what gives it away..BE CAREFUL

Fake GEICO number. Said they were calling me from GEICO for an accident claim. I don't have GEICO. They wanted personal information. Just hang up. They are fake.
