To lower interest rates on my credit cards. They have called a LOT of other times but I don't have dates/times from those calls. The call starts with a pre-recorded message and then you press a number on your keypad to be connected to a live agent. If you ask them to put you on their do not call list, they will hang up on you immediately. In this case, I was asking him for details about how they lower my interest rates. He was saying they negotiate with the banks and made some claim that Experian (a credit-reporting agency in US) was the one who did negotiating with the banks for a lower interest rate. When I asked for a callback number and name of the company, at first he gave the company name as "Card Services", and when I pressed further, he said the company name was "Experian" - and the call ended abruptly (from their end) at that point before I could ask any further questions. When I called back the phone number they gave, it connected me to Visa and asked for my card number.
