We received a call from this number, it was legitimate. They found fraudlent activity on one of our credit cards. Synchrony handles a lot of different cards, Walmart, Discover, etc. They saved us a lot of headaches and money by calling us to verify information! So yeah, this is a legitmate number and call!!

Synchrony? I do not have a S.... account. Wanted last 4 numbers of my non-existent account. Said he would call right back -- 2 hours ago. Must not have been legit.

Just made a $200 purchase and they were calling to verify.
It's automated.
I did not answer and they left a VM and I called back.
