Got a call saying they have a Xfinity promotion for me which includes double my current bandwidth and HBO GO and a bunch of other stuff with a lower price. Asked for my phone number and partial street address and confirmed my email address. Feels like they have all my account info already which lowered my alert. But afterwards when I asked a Comcast agent online he told me that this is not a Comcast number. Changed my account psw immediately.

I don't answer my telephone unless it's someone I know. So much for the National Do Not Call list. I get more calls now than before the registration.

I got this call right after searching my own number on pipl.com. The guy pretented to be comcast too. I think when you search, it triggers them to call you and try to fish more information so they can publish it on their site... but maybe it was just a coincidence!

They called from a very poor service, claimed to be with Comcast and kept trying to ask questions about my service. Once I got them to say they weren't actually Comcast (without confirming any of my info), I hung up on them. They very carefully try to make you think you are talking with a Comcast representative -- YOU ARE NOT. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION. If you truly want to add a service or talk with someone about your Comcast account, hang up and actually CALL Comcast.

It is a "back end provider" for Comcast according to Xfinity chat. I was worried it was phishing scam and double checked via Xfinity chat to be sure.

I think it was a phishing scam. Asked if I was happy with my service - (said they were located in Pueblo, CO) - said they might have promo's to lower my bill. I asked what bill was and said they would have to find it on their computer. I hung up - figured if they were really ComCast they's know my bill. I called them back next day to see if i could catch them - asked amount of my bill - and they had it! So now don't know what to think - but guy was very unsure of what he was offering - said he thought it included adding a security system, but that he hadn't been trained in that ( although he had requested the training...) . So I hung up again.

I got a call from this number. The guy with an Indian or Middle East accent and broken English claimed to be a Comcast rep. I knew he couldn't be because he was trying to get my info. I blocked this number on all my phones, cell & VoIP.

this is a third party consultant of Comcast who is contracted to confirm the installation of new equipment. I just got off the phone with Comcast who saw this in their notes that I was contacted by this company and for what reason.

Said they were comcast, but they seemed to be phishing through some old addresses of mine and trying to get money for a new cable "deal". The guy was really nice... and didn't sound like your typical Comcast person.
