Spoofed Junk Call - automated voice said hello... red flag went up.

I am so sick of junk calls, ready to back to a CB or Tin Cans. That's a Big 10-4 Good Buddy!

Yes. It's well Fargo's main number, but definitely spoof the number. Ken left a voicemail saying he's from the executive office!!😂😂😂 Idiot. They don't call people unless you have millions in an account. The reference number he left was about 22 digits long!!😂😂😂 I had my laugh for the day!!

Rec'd call about noon on 5/8. I didn't answer and no message was left. CID shows phone # and "Wells Fargo." Appears this IS the bank's actual information phone number, so no doubt this was a scammer calling, having spoofed the CID info. I don't have an account with Wells Fargo, so I find no reason for them to call me, other than possibly to coerce me to set up an account or such. But then they'd be violating my Do-Not-Call membership as I don't have a relationship with them.

I received a text message stating:
FreeMsg: Verify Wells Fargo activity. Card XXXX $28.00 @PlaceofPurchase $49.96 @PlaceofPurchase Reply Y if recognized, or call 800-869-3557. STOP to stop msgs

The information (not included for privacy purposes) is accurate, but I do not trust most emails/texts I receive from services.

The Wells Fargo website and the number "General Banking
1-800-869-3557" is listed as their primary one under "Contact Us". I verified that it did come from one of the official Wells Fargo short code numbers (93733) prompting me to believe that this was NOT a scam or spoof number.

I still won't respond to the text, but it seems legit.

They called AND sent me a text message last night about an acct I don't have and charges made at Nordstrom's. Totally Bogus!

The number is a Wells Fargo # but it filters as UNKNOWN CALLER and is- FRAUD. They wanted personal information regarding my debit card due to funds being applied to this account / he reported as fraud. The only fraud here is the phone call. Hang up and call this number back and talk to the actual bank or go to your local Wells. They managed to get the number so beware. And fraud hoppers, get a real job. (He also noted that if I disconnected the call that the charges will apply leaving my account in the negative). Wells confirmed that no one from their company called me and that I can call them directly at any time w/o threats. The person calling told me to check the number on the back of the card to confirm he is with Wells.. Not TRUE.

my bank. I do Wells Fargo. They said there was fraudulent activity on my account and they were sending me a new card. It's BS.

I received an email saying that i my online banking access has been locked due to to many attempts to login and to please call 18008693557. When i clicked the link to go to the website Mozilla Firefox recognized the site as a fraudulent site and firewalled it. DO NOT TRUST THIS NUMBER!!!! I do not even have an account with Wells Fargo!!!
