When you get any kind of unsolicited calls (robo generated or not) and you get a live person from the caller, when they greet you or ask you a question you just respond "What do you lying cork soakers want to scam me out of today?" If they respond or not just keep repeating your opening phrase over and over and over whatever they say or try to respond with. Do this until THEY hang up. If we all respond like this to all unsolicited and illegal calls they will soon get the message. I do this with all unsolicited illegal calls whether if is from Microsoft about computer errors, the IRS or someone wanting to sell back braces or "Rachel" from credit card services. I am on the DO NOT CALL list so that makes them fair game Try it!

800notes.com lists 10 PAGES of complaints for this number since 23JUN2017! Scams include the Microsoft license scam and credit card interest rate ripoff.

I didn't answer because except for very close family, we don't use our cell phones and still utilize land lines. So I'm sure it was a scammer.

I do not have Microsoft operating system on my machine. I do have IBM MVS-XA running a DB2 database. Nice try back side wipe.

A fuzzy sounding female voice recording saying my Microsoft Windows license key has expired and to renew it I need to call 800-869-5894. I won't call because it could be an offshore operation scamming to keep you on the line charging a high dollar amount for each minute. My computer is working fine and Microsoft doesn't call anyone.
