Caller: Sterling Jewelers
Kay jewelers. They call even after u pay for lk a mo.
Have had about 5 messages on voice mail from 800-877-8194 over the past few days - "important call from your jewler". Answered the phone this morning and it was Shaw's Jewlers (so they said) and they were looking for my metally disabled sister-in-law who has never shopped at Shaws and doesn;t live with us. Wouldn't tell me what it was in reference to, and the caller (a woman) was fairly short with me. Wouldn't talk to me about details even after I said the person she was calling for couldn't speak for herself. She insisted on having the name of her guardian (I didn't give it), then said we could call the 800 number to verify. Haven't tried that yet, don't want to be ID'd on their caller ID. If it's a matter of identity theft, I'd like to get it cleared up. My sis-in-law doesn't even have a credit card! So... all this is just for others who may need to know. I have no idea what this is about, but it doesn't sound legit to me.

it's Sterling Jewelers the corporate office for Shaws. There could be a number of reasons why they are calling. Someone else may have the same name as your sister in law and whoever called from sterling typed in her name in peoplefinder.com or something like that just to see since whoever has the account is behind on their bill. Alot of times they don't take the numbers out because 9 out of 10 times the people are lying saying they don't know who the person is that the company is collecting on. I'm not sure if they are still calling or not, but if they do just verify the birthday or age or something like that. They can't release 3rd party information because it's against the law so thats why they can't give you any information about it. I use to work there so it is a legit company, but probably just looking for someone else with the same name.
