I just received a call from 800-888-5656, female said good-bye and hung-up. How do we stop these calls, I receive several calls a day from California and recordings.

Said he worked for Windows and called to warn me that there was a security issue with my computer. Told me to go to my computer so he could assist me. I hung up.

Called me and said that I had malware on my brand new computer. I told him he was full of shit and after I wouldn't give him my name, he hung up.

scam trying to gain access to your computer by saying that they are your computer technician, then they say they are with "Windows" (duh, did you mean Microsoft dude?). Broken English, call center based. They apparently are actively mining webpages and professional profile pages as they asked for me by name tonight. DON'T fall for it folks!

This number is from a scammer in Inda, who breached Hewlett Packard's database. I called over to HP's HQ and spoke to a rep, who surprised me by saying they were powerless to stop the calls. Sadly they never sent out warnings. The call I received was from a person who said my pc had not taken HP's security update and they wanted to remote link with me. I refused.

Received call from this number. A woman with very broken english said she was calling to help me with my HP computer and that someone had downloaded programs. She wanted to help. I asked her why she was really calling and told her she was a scammer and hung up.

8008885656 called me on 9-8/9/13/9/16 saying there is something wron with my computer.i just clicked the phone

I just received a call from these bastards. Some F@#$ A$$h&*e from India came on after I answered. He said "hello" and hung up. Sick of these calls to my # and the failure of DoNotCall to stop this crap.

I received a call 9/6 from this number. Dead air on answer, than a auto voice "Goodbye" , than hung up.

I am assuming this is the same foreign scammers that have been spoofing various CA area code numbers. None answered and only one worked when call was returned. Was told he was special agent with IRS and they were bringing charges against me...I told him to take phone receiver and insert in his anus.

Got a call from this number and I did not answer it. When I called back a message said that this number was disconnected or not in service. Since have blocked it.
