My husband and I received a call on our home answering machine from a Mr. Hoffman telling us that we need to return his call as soon as possible at 1-800-926-3136 Ext. 3093. He never told us where he was calling from or what the call was in regard to. We called the number back and it just rang constantly. When looking up the number online, several consumers stated that it's a collection company that works for American Express. We find it funny that we would receive calls from this company as we have NEVER owned an American Express card in our life!! We are very tired of these companies calling and insulting our intelligence by not even telling us what they are calling about or giving us their company name. We will not respond to ignorance such as this!! When we make a call, the APPROPRIATE thing to do is give the receiver all available information so that he/she is aware of who he/she is receiving the call from and who he/she will be calling back should he/she decide to do so. We aren't "sneaky" like these callers are and we don't try to set people up to be HARASSED!!!!
