Received call from Indian sounding tech from Yahoo security, knew my email address, asked me to verify, which I did (Oops, I know) then asked me to go to my desktop or laptop computer. I said no way, not over incoming call, he gave me 800-935-0817 x114 and said if I called back he would connect me to Yahoo security support who could walk me through blocking IP addresses in Florida from using my account, and that to cancel this account and start a new one would be too easy for them to get at me again.

Indian-accented man called, saying he was from my "Internet provider," looking for my wife. Said his name was Chris Hopper and wanted to know when, exactly, she would be back. He recited her internet address but didn't know it was a Time Warner address. Gave me 800-935-0817, extension 112, for her to call back. I'll warn her about what these other commenters have said.

This is ridiculous. How do you stop the 1-800--935-0817 hackers? They have been calling me non-stop from an unknown caller ID number.

They are still going. Someone needs to shut these guys down. Called my wife on her cell phone today from 973-883-1500, but said I could call at this 800 numbers. Claimed to be a Microsoft employee (Jose Black - but with a strong non-Hispanic foreign accent) and that over 600 error messages have been logged by Microsoft from our computer since 5:00 a.m. Called back and talked to someone who claimed that he was a Windows 10 representative (we do not have Windows 10.) Never did find out what they were looking for, although when they talked to my wife, they were asking her from numbers from her computer.

Just received a call (on my cell...creepy) from someone claiming to be Mark Johnson from Google. He said my account was hacked and there was "too much spam."???? Gave me 800-935-0817 ext. 113 to call back. Google employee ID was supposed to be SIT8001 (made me repeat it back to make sure I got it...eye roll). Just told him I didn't have time to talk and hung up. He called back twice immediately (I didn't answer, he didn't leave a message). To "prove" he was who he said he was, he rattled off my name and street address...again...creepy. I'm wondering if they get these lists of sweepstakes stuff online (like the coke and pepsi stuff) where you register. I've probably entered in my cell and address for those. I will NEVER do anything like that again.

Someone called me from this number stating he was from juno and stated my e-mail address was compromised and that I needed to go to my computer and he would instruct me what to do to fix the problem. He called me from a number unavailable but when i questioned him how do I know you are from juno i asked for his phone number for me to call him back and he gave me this number 800-935-0817 I called back and someone with a foriegn accent answered and it was obviously not juno so I sent and email to juno corporate offices to report it. it was a scam for him to be able to get access to my computer.

Rec'd a call marked unavailable. Said someone was accessing my Hotmail account in 2 different states. I told him this sounds like a shady call and asked for his name, Sam Smith. and his supervisor's, Jack Morrison and a number to call him back at 800-935-0817. I called back and "Sam Smith" answered, Hello, how can I help you? I said "that's what I thought" and hung up. No mention of any company when he answered. SCAM!

I got a call from a guy with a heavy Indian accent named Robert (800-935-0817 x113), who said he was from AOL and there was a report of illegal activity being sent from my account from China. This guy has repeatedly called me trying to get me to log into my computer, while he's on the phone. I told him that I will not and that I will change my password and hung up. How do they get your information to call in the 1st place?
