Been bugging me several times a day, finally called them.
The announced as "Credit Services" Press 1 for English, etc, etc.
Press 1 and the recording asks for your account number "at the top of your bill"
I have PayPal, it is not overdue, this must be a scam.

get calls every day several times never left a message on the voicemail and when picked up a couple times they just hung up but this yesterday the 22nd of september i picked it up and said to them to stop calling because i don't know who you are and your number which i thought was fake because i tryed to put on my block list it would not take it but any way whe i told them that they told me to shut up three to four times and it was some forner.
I think is was a prank caller because they called a few days over 5 times and call 7 days a week even in the evening up to about 8 to 10 pm. But not sure

They called once, and I only got a partial ending message with operating hours and a phone number... but after reading online, I believe mine was a call about collections for an Amazon store card account - my account online says "Amazon.com Credit is issued by GE Capital Retail Bank ("GECRB")" - so it could be any store credit card issued by GE Capital Retail Bank, I suppose. I had indeed forgotten to pay my bill, so I think it was a legitimate called. I paid off my bill now, so hopefully they won't call back.

Extremly persistent. Use a computer to schedule calls.

Port in your phone number to google voice. If you use google voice you can easily block any calls. It is what i do. When they call again, it says "this phone number has been disconnected or is no longer in service". It is a free google service. However, if you want to port in your current number, it is 20$. It is free if you choose your own number. Once you use google voice you can use multiple cell phones and home phones which all ring once that number is called. Ive had it for years. I have always bee able to block numbers like this right away. So, I am terribly sorry that you guys suffer so much for so long.

I went to website: https://support.google.com/voice/answer/1065667?hl=en
to read about it, and do not understand why someone would have to give up their phone number or port it here? It does not make sense. Also, NOBODY has a right to call with a pre-recorded devise my number. Call the Do Not Call registry to report them, and the calls will eventually stop, because the company will have to pay each call they make and violate the FTC's rules, do not call with pre-recorded messages, if you are registered with the do not call registry, OR NOT REGISTERED, you may still issue a complaint with the FTC for free, and make company pay. Do not give up YOUR phone number, because they harrass you. It is AGAINST the law to make these phone calls, EVER. To register a complaint, call 1-888-382-1222

If they're calling my number for collections, they dialed the wrong number or failed to do their due diligence.

My husband and I are senior citizens. We are receiving at least 5-6 phone calls per day from an 800 number that CLAIMS to be Amazon.com VISA card saying that I owe them $53. I have called Amazon.com and they said that I not only don't OWE them anything, but that they haven't called me and that I have a credit balance. I've asked ~ BEGGED ~ these people to stop calling me because every time they call, either I or my husband have to stop whatever we are doing and answer the phone. Many times we are involved in doing other things and this is a nuisance and a physical difficulty. I don't know who these people are and neither does the legitimate Amazon.com. I had my credit card cancelled and had a new one issued because I feared they had my old card number. The number from which they are calling 5-6x a day is: (800) 945-6596. It is always the same number, but a different person.
