Called them back and stayed on the line enough to get to a person. When I asked why they called, they asked if I had a CitiBank card and I said no, so their response was that "that was fraudulent, please disregard that call". So I got told by a fraud company that their calls were fraudulent!

They scammer used caller ID spoofing. That wasn't the real phone number you were called from.

I missed the clues on this one and fell for it. I gave out my Credit Card number and home phone before I got wise. Looked up on internet and first listing showed as legit -- WRONG --

I've never done business with Citi Bank nor do I have a Citi Card. However, the Toll free number is a valid. Conclusion, scam call.

Said they were Citicard but I don't have a card through them. Didn't give any info but checked my own accounts afterwards and saw that my apple id had been hacked. I believe they took my phone number from there and were trying to gather other info through the phone call.

hung up when I went to answer, called back 800.950.5114, and red flag questions such as Social #, full credit card #. Did not get a live person no matter what, all computer voice, total phising scam. Real credit card people would answer

They called today while we were out. Didn't leave msg on ans. machine; that's how I knew it was a SCAM. Any time there has been a real fraud alert or concern about our cards, they've left a msg with a callback # that is easily verified and a NAME and what the concern is. THIS call was SPOOFED SPAM.

I answered the phone instead of taking a nap. Big mistake! The caller ID said Citi Cards and I fell for it. Thankfully, gave them some info but not the 3 digit security code. Bunch of BS! Lower my int rate from 17.9 to 0%. Claimed to work for all of the credit card companies. Wanted $795 charge on one of my accounts.

They called, want to lower my interest rate. I don't have a Citi-Card. Sounds legit when you call back, but no account number to give, so they ask for SS#. Can't speak to a real person. UGH
