The robo-call was from an outfit with a name like Cardholder Services. I decided to call them back since I am on the Do Not Call Registry and got put through to a woman who seemed awfully vague about exactly what was the name of their comkpany, except she insisted they work with all the major credit card companies. They wanted to confirm that I had a certain fairly high (at least to me) level of creditcard debt. As I had them on the phone I kept googling every "name" they seemed to give for their company. I was passed to a male supervisor who hung up as I pressed for some confirmation of who they are. Whether this was telemarketing or a scam is not clear. I'll call it the former, at least for now.
