Dish Network promotion for America's Top 120 and Hindi Super Pack. Said that I needed to pay him the lump sum of money ($550) by Moneygram and I would not get any bill from Dish for the next two years. Turned out to be fraudulent. We later received a call from another person who said that he was calling from Dish Network (caller id was the
same as Dish toll free number: 800-333-3474) He confirmed our promotion details, programming etc and told us where to send money. He accessed my Dish online account fraudulently, called Dish Network customer service and upgraded my programming and made unauthorized
payment using Discover Credit Card (possibly bogus/stolen). The scammers had
updated my email contact for dish so that I would not get any alerts from Dish Network.

JUST GOT THIS CALL ... TWO DAYS IN A ROW ... I WILL TELL YOU PEOPLE WHAT I TELL THEM ... " I KNOW WHERE YOU LIVE AND IF YOU CALL THIS NUMBER AGAIN I WILL HUNT YOU DOWN AND KILL YOUR FAMILY IN FRONT OF YOU " ... IT DOES WORK ... AND I WOULD THINK TWICE IF I HEARD THAT ON A PHONE ... I HAVE DONE ALL ELSE THAT IS LEGALLY POSSIBLE ... IT DOES NOT STOP THEM ... I HAVE TO RESORT TO THESE MEASURES AND IT DOES WORK ... NOTHING IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN FAMILY.

This is a survey company that has people call to get your opinions on products. I have an unlisted number and am on the "Do Not Call" list so I reported them to the FCC and blocked their number from my phone.

The caller said they were doing a survey for Edward Jones. They would ask two questions and if I qualify, I would be sent an email with a link to a survey.
First question: What county do you live in?
Second Question: Who make the financial decisions in your household.
Then I was told that I qualified and would receive a complimentary Amazon gift card if I completed the online survey and they just needed my email address.
I replied that they should already have that info on file. They said no. When I said my email, the read it back incorrectly and I told them that they didn't even know my name and wasn't with Edward Jones and that I would be hanging up now and contacting Edward Jones.
That is what I did.

They were calling me too... the first time I ignored it and found this page... the second and third time I answered the phone in a chinese accent... "today special is poo-poo platter with wonton soup and free egg rolllllllll. May I take your order?"
The person on the other line said "Whaaaaat?"
I said yelled into the phone... "today special is poo-poo platter with wonton soup and free egg rolllllllll. May I take your order please?"
The calls stopped ;)

On other occasions I use the "Homer Soundboard 2.0" (search it) and I play with the telemarketers using homer's voice.
When I do these things I find they quit calling.
Don't get mad... just get even. Record the call and post it to youtube with their company name and phone number and CEO name if I can find it. Then send them an email with a link to the video.
Thats what I do!!!!!

When I get the calls from JC Penny offering me life insurance in the event of accidental death, I reply by asking, "What if I'm murdered? I think someone is trying to kill me." They hang up fast on that too.
