Female voice recording (with a robotic version of my last name, first name middle initial inserted) threatening two pending fraud charges to be filed against me in my county. No company name but says they're from a fraud department and gives a case #. No intent to call but these keep coming with different #'s lately.
Same as everyone else, when i finally got a hold of someone - they claimed i was being sued for intent defraud a loan company and breach of contract on an online lone opened in 2011 - problem is - the email they gave does not match the time period i was working at the company stated the email was for... they requested i give my last four of my SSN - i stated you are calling about fraud complaint against me and yet i am to trust you and give you my SSN - i don't think so - when i stated i would not settle i was met with an aggressive well see you in court. I stated see you then - when can i expect my summons - was told in 7-10 days....I too had never been known 1) if you do not respond and are served you waive your rights, 2) to not be contacted until 4 yrs later with no letter or any other type of contact just a threat of suit.... hmmm SCAM SCAM SCAM... i think i will call them every day until they get tired.
They told me they were Goldman Attorney at Law .. I called Goldman law office .. Whoever these people are telling me they are taking me to court .. I will get to the bottom of this .. Scam ..Scam .. Scam
Just got a voicemail from these guys too. The good thing is our company record his voice message and automatically file it in our email system. So if they ever ended up in court and need an audio evidence we will be able to provide it. Same message as everyone else here got, 2 complaints that is going to court and we are required to call back for resolution. Good thing I checked here first before calling back, it would've been a completely waste of our finance department's time.
This number (804) 420-4838 is a collection agency posing as a law firm
I started getting calls from VA (caller ID) on home phone and cell phone with the old "summons to my work & home".
Yesterday I called back. Got Jim Morrison...stated they were Goldman & Associates, based out of Sterling Heights, Michigan...with an office in Richmond VA. I explain to Jim right off the bat that I am recording the call (even though when you call, it says the call is being recorded). Jim gets irate and hangs up on me. I call back, play nice, they take my case number (left in their VM) and they forward me to a number that "is no longer in service".
I look up "Goldman & Associates" in Sterling Heights and find it is a law firm THAT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS COLLECTION AGENCY...which means they are either using fraudulent practices or have a collection agency with similar name, but pretending to be backed by this firm.
Today, they called my home and cell again. I called back. They forwarded me again to a "no longer in service" number. I call back...explain again that I am recording the call and want to speak to a supervisor. they hung up. I called two more times. Rep asked me for my last 4 social. I stated "no" since they could not tell me who they were or what they wanted. Rep said "then I will put you down for 'refusal to pay'. Then she abruptly hung up.
Called again. Asked for a supervisor and they sent me to the supervisor "Ashley Williams" who, when I said I was recording the call (again, even though they state THEY are recording the call) she went ballistic on me and hung up.
I called back. Asked for Ashley Williams. Hang up. Hang up....over and over for 5 more attempts. Finally, Ashley Williams answered and told me they were done with me because I recorded a call that they did not agree to (again...after THEY state they are recording the calls)
After she went off on me again, I stated since they could not tell me what they wanted, I wanted them to remove my numbers from their robo-dialer....and that I did not want in any way to be marked as "refusal to pay" because they never state what it was. She got all pissy on me and stated they would remove my numbers and let the lawyers proceed. "Proceed" with what, she refused to say and hung up on me.
Classy outfit. I should sue them for harassment.
Caller: Goldman & Associates
Call Type: Debt Collector

Also received a all from this number, I told Ashley to take my name off her list she replied it will take 24 to 48 hours, can we all say SCAMMMMM
