What is a "Government Scam" Robocall?

Scammers who call people posing as a government agency are commonly referred to as "government scams". There are many different agencies these callers pose as, but they most commonly pose as the IRS. They say you have not paid your taxes and are wanted by the government. These calls can be very convincing, as they will usually have your name and home address, but they will request your social security number and sometimes even your bank information. There are other government agencies these scammers pose as, such as your local police department, the Social Security Administration, and Medicare. When people pose as government agencies, they are violating the law and should be reported immediately. If you are unsure if you are truly talking to a legitimate government agency or not, you can hang up the call, and call the real agency. Let them know you received a call asking for your information, and you want to be sure it wasn’t a scam call. The agency will be able to tell you if you are actually in trouble with them or not.

Bottom feeders collections they call and hold the phone saying there is an investigation and warrant for arrest but the Guy has a strong accent and demanding money. I don't have any of these and sure enough a person would get a certified letter if true but they don't know any info either just trying to scam money!

Number keeps calling saying that some company needs me to call them immediately about some a fraudelent charges matter before the send out a summons. No clue?????? When you call the company back they try to get you to tell them your SS# so they can verify you. If you are calling me you should have that info. I refused the social they recited to me was not mine, the place of employment not mine. So I disconnected the call.

Called during school hours. Called twice after i rejected the call. Left voice mail saying this call could take up to 10 minutes and depending on the server it could take less than 10 minutes. 5-10 minutes. Then it says press one to answer call.
Someone told me they thought it was jail? But im not really sure if i should call this number back or press 1 or just leave it alone.
