An unwanted call from this Santa Paula VOIP number was received in violation of the Do Not Call law. When the answering machine picked up, a woman's recorded voice touted home energy savings. The same recorded message also originates from (805) 427-9078. Both are nationwide home energy scams, designed to lighten the wallets of its victims.
Could these two scam artists be one and the same? Inquiring minds want to know.
