I just received a call from this number. The caller claimed to be from Microsoft and that my computer was sending lots of error messages.

I told him that I knew it was a scam, and I asked him whether he was ashamed of himself and how he could tell his parents that this is what he did for a living. He insisted that he was from Microsoft.

When I summarized what he was going to ask me to do (open the Start menu, provide him with remote access, &c.), he hung up on me.

Well, I just got that call today, and he knew I was on to him, and I asked him if he wanted access to my computer, and he said something about a virus. So I asked what he DID want, he said something very sexually explicit to me. I lost it and went off on him. Damn! Has anyone reported this to the FBI?

same as above comments. said my computer was sending error messages. dial 1 for help. I just hit the blacklist button on my call
blocker.

Caller: recorded voice said press 1 for Microsoft help.

They tried this using an unavailable number, then I started getting calls form 806116600. How does someone in another country get a US Number, so they can rip people off? Instead of writing tickets for smoking they should catch these idiots and fry them.

An automated American voice said my computer was send out error messages and to press Number one to speak to a Certified Microsoft technician to fix the problem. Did not have time to yell at them so I hung up.

They just called and wanted information. They said my computer had been sending them error messages etc. I said I will not give you personal information because this is a scam and she hung up.

Tried to return call... says call cannot be completed as dialed. Internet search indicates it is phishing trying to gain access to you computer by saying they are calling from Microsoft.
