It showed up on my "Missed calls" on my cell phone. My cell phone never rang, but some people tell me they can't leave a message, so I usually check my "Missed calls" every once in a while. I wondered who might be calling from 810 area code, as I have given out my cell phone number to only about 4-5 people and it's not listed in any directories that I know of. I thought telemarketers were not supposed to solicit cell phones. I'll be putting my number on the FTC's Do Not Call List real soon! I ran an ad to sell some dogs, and I got a lot of "unsolicited" calls from companies working the newspaper ads, wanting to sell me different things, mostly advertising! Once you make your number public, you're gonna get all kinds of calls like this, I have found! Remember, if it's too good to be true, it probably is. If this is for mortgage reduction or debt reduction, don't send them any money in front, as that's the last you'll ever see of it! And don't give out any info. like Soc. Security #, bank acct. #, and such, as they can use this for identity theft! I didn't sell any dogs (I had 2 at that time, but one of 'em died last week), but I finally quit running "free ads," as I got tired of all this "stuff" from companies wanting to sell me something! If you want to learn what's going on, check Rip-off Report.com - they've got the latest on all the scams going around, and you don't have to search state by state, county by county, city by city, like you do with the BBB and the Attorney General's Offices. One search takes it nationwide, and often it will show the various other names that companies use, to confuse people! I got a letter from a "Secret Society" wanting me to join a bunch of wealthy & influential people, and all I had to do was send for a free 56 page report. I did. Then they sent me a letter asking for $139.95 for a "2,000 year old manuscript" of secrets! Sounded like a lot of

i got a call and a man just said "I'm sorry" it was very strange and when i called back i got three very loud and somewhat high pitched tones that increased in pitch and a recording saying "the number you called is disconnected or no longer in service", but i got my people to find out were the number came from and it came from Flint, Michigan, on the corner in between West Court Street and East Court Street (not sure which one it is yet, my people are still working on that) and South Saginaw Street, Near the Genesee county probate court, it is a land line phone, and the carrier is Michigan Bell Company. And i am not sure what type of call it is yet.

The number called my cell phone today about credit card debt. When I called the number back I got a recording saying that the number was no long in service. However, the the "company" left a voicemail saying that Lisa Middleton was returning my call from last week. I never called the "company" before. I am confused at how the number calls you, but is diconnected? Go figure!

I just got the same exact thing except that I answered the call. There was a long pause and then it was a recording (I think) that started speaking saying just what you reported. My phone is cell as well.

They left a message saying that we had talked on the phone the previous weekend about lowering interest rates. And that it was their last curious call. I talked to no such person about no such thing.
