CallerID read "NAME UNAVAILABLE"

So I looked into it, and I don't know of any financial businesses in Flint, MI. In fact, the Area-code and Prefix combination of 810-283 doesn't appear to route to a telephone central office according to NANPA.

They wanted me to return the call to 1-877-723-1429. It's obviously a scammer of some sort.

They wanted me to return a call to 1-877-723-1429, which seemed weird, but that's just the start. Then I noticed that the number showed up as "NAME UNAVAILABLE" so I looked into it, and in fact, the Area-code and Prefix combination of 810-283 doesn't appear to route to any telephone Central Office according to NANPA.

They wanted to lower my interest rate, but I don't know of any financial businesses in Flint, Michigan.

So this is obviously a scam of some sort.

Rec'd a call today. A lady left a message saying they were following up with me from a phone call we had last week about lowering our credit card interest rate. She said she did some research and is able to lower our rate and reduce our monthly payment.

The only problem is that I never talked with anyone last week and don't have an outstanding balance on my credit card. This is a scam.

I found a missed call from this number. Several posting sites said it was from a debt releif company. Gave the name of Carrie Green and left an 877 number to call back at. Other sources advised to call your local state attorney generals office as it appears to be a scam
