I also got a call. Wanted me or my lawyer to call or they will take action. He didn't say who he was calling for.

Yes, got the call minutes ago. Same William Lewis regarding writing checks on a closed bank account. When I called back - he stated all this & I was going to jail and fined. Once he was done he hung up on me - said good luck

My husband received a call that I was going to be arrested today and would spend 182 days in jail or pay a $5000 bond for writing checks on a closed account, which NEVER HAPPENED. These people are awful.

I received a voice mail today from a William Lewis, who said he was from mediation services. He stated that I have a pending case in their office that requires immediate action. It is imperative that he speaks with me or my attorney of record today.

They called me again on my voicemail and I just blocked the call. I am going to report them to the nonemergency police number. In reading comments it's the same call that everyone is receiving. It is against the law to use threats and intimidation on the telephone. I'm going to report them to the telephone company too

I just received a call from a Mr. Davenport stating I had a payday loan from 2012 that was never paid. I said this is the first I have heard of this I began asking questions and he started yelling and was very very rude... He stated there was a criminal case against me and I was to be arrested tomorrow if I did not take care of the $851.17 today!! A Friend of mine said it was a Scam I assume he heard that and hung up on me! I will just have to wait to see if I am arrested for I am not paying monies to someone that will not answer my questions and are Rude!

This is a new one....This dirty bastard called me a few minutes ago at 2:37pm saying my husband, LOL, committed fraud with payday loan and he would be arrested with a warrant. We knew this was a lie, my husband and I called the number back questioning this asshole, the call would drop. I called back and demanded to stop calling or I would report to the authorities and he cursed at me calling me names including a female part. Don't fall for this, he is disgusting!

They called me again this morning then hung up. I called back four times and they kept hanging up. Finally Mr. Lewis answered and told me he was going to have the sheriff pick me up and throw me in the slammer for Christmas. What scumbags. I just blocked them and am carrying on with my day. Idiots actually try to intimidate people.

I got the same call said I was going to be arrested for some old pay day loans..I was told if I didn't pay $1,000.00 I would do 183 days in jail... Being homeless I told them so hung up on me!!!SCAM

Same treatment as above. Said I own a pay day loan from about four years back. I had never heard of the company. I told them by law they have to send me in writing who I owe it to their names and proof of when I incurred the debt. They said they didn't owe me anything The woman hung up on me. I have ID theft insurance on my insurance policy and I talk to them and they said just ignore it/it's a scam

Said the same thing to me very rude must be a scam did not want to send any infromation to me had to pay.

Don’t let these loser scumbags intimidate you.. I received a similar voicemail as the caller above. VERY rude, never identified WHO was calling , no case Number, no call back number given… ( just demanded I call back press 1 and ask for mediator) LOL Hmm Ya , ok buddy….. I immediately went and checked out my credit report and everything was status quo . my best guess .. I did owe on a debt but the statute of limitations had expired AND I already paid off this debt YEARS ago. If you can block these harassing assholes # I would do so. These people are all bark no bite

Probably a scammer, referenced contact info from 8+ years ago but wouldn't let me supply updated info to mail documentation to. Laughed when I mentioned consumer rights under collection laws. Repeatedly used the word "tooken" instead of "taken". Scum of the earth
