The actual phone number was listed as unknown so I did not answer it. They left a voicemail in which a man said this call was for so and so (but he had my last name wrong). He said his name was Special Investigator John Washington and that I was named as a respondant prusuint to some claim number and something about a restraining order and that I must call 813-863-1961 immediately and to pass this information on to my attorney (which I don't have) and that I had 24-48 hours to respond.

He did not list the name of the company he was calling for.
He did not list a verifiable reason for the message....he listed no debt nor that this was a debt collection agency
He called too early in the morning
He also called my mother...I have no idea how he got her number. He left the same message about me on her machine.
He had my name wrong.
Don't they have to serve you papers to take you to court? Also, I have never even been to Tampa FL.
If this is debt related they never mentioned it. (I have one outstanding cc debt for about $250 that I can't pay right now.)
After reading other complaints I realize this is just a scam company and if it is a debt collection they just violated a bunch of laws and I have the voicemail to prove it. I also reported them to the FTC and Florida Attorney General. I was able to find out through internet searches they are in Tampa, FL and if you call the number it's a message saying Sundial Legal Group.

I will not be giving them any information and if this happens again will seek legal action. They have no right to call my mother and they have no right to threaten a restraining order over the phone...I must be served papers I know that much.

Yes i investigated on this company..they are not attorneys. I had my lawyer look into it they are special litigators who mediate between a person and a company trying to get us to pay the company money we owe from years ago. Some states have statues of limitation so i wouldnt have to pay them jokers anything. But some things they say aren't a scam because someone i know have been served with papers for an account with bank of america. Kinda fishy but scary

Got a call from Anthony West stating similar situation as has been recalled by everyone else. He said he was looking for my brother. He left a message, not returning phone call or forwarding message to my brother.

Funny I had a looser by the name of Anthony West leave a message at a relative’s house, stated he was a “Special Investigator”. Special Investigator “Adam” LOL also made mention of legal action being taken against me and something about a restraining order.
If I ever get a call from Florida, 9 times out of 10 its some type of scam or fraud. Here is how I look at it. This Anthony West or Anthony Wilson in my opinion is stating he is a “Special Agent” and since he is referring to a retraining order he must therefore be presenting himself as and officer of the court or a police officer. Do what I did! I contacted my local police department and advised them of the allegation I had a restraining order and “Anthony West” was impersonating an officer. My local police department was more than interested in the call so I sent them a copy of the voice mail message as well. I did not stop there I followed that by reporting the call to both my states Attorney General’s Office as well as the State of Florida’s Attorney General’s Office and the Federal Trade Commission. I would urge anyone who gets a call from this looser or any looser that works for Central Legal Network to do the same. Central Legal Network is obviously unaware or just does not care about the FAIR DEBT COLLECTIONS ACT. Make sure to catch them on recording in case you need to forward it on to interested parties. Let’s take them down!

They've called me 4 times now in the last few months - twice at home and twice at my work. Can't something be done about these scam artists??

A private number called my house phone 11/8/10 and told me someone is pressing charges against me and that I need to call this number to find out who it is. Coincidentally they also called my mom's the same day asking for me and some infomation including my SSN. Of course she didn't give them any information and called me right away. In the interim I called the number listed above and was on hold about 30 minutes before someone finally answered. She tried to confirm info with me and which was wrong and then asked for my SSN, I told her "whoa, I don't even know who you are, if you are a collection agency or a debt collector I may be able to cooperate with you, but if it is not any of the following do not waste my time," she said goodbye maam, then hung up.

This number called me as a wrong number. I saw this number on my caller id a few times over the past month. This time it was listed as unknown and left a voice mail. They said that some legal action was being taken against the person they were calling, including a restraining order, and the person the message was for was to respond in 48 hours of the message. I called back, and explained that they really need to pay attention to what they're leaving on voice mails because my name is nowhere near the person they were calling for. The person who answered asked me to just disregard the call and they couldn't remove my number because it wasn't actually attached to any account they have.

A man left a voicemail identified himself as Special Investigator and said there was a legal action filed against us for a credit card that went into collection in 2008. My credit history is clear though. Still I call back the given number and they wanted my SS number and refused to answer any of my questions.
