very harassing phone calls! must stop

I get these F*#&$ calls every day! They're nothing but scummy debt collectors (debt lawyers) who buy up old debt and reinstate the debt without you knowing. For example, if you settled an old debt, the original company you owed will file it as settled, but a freaking "Charge Off" will appear for the entire amount damaging your credit! even though it was settled and agreed there's no more debt.

The original debtor will then sell your account to your local scummy debt collector for less than what you owed to make up for the amount that you didn't fulfill. Then the scummy debt collector will attempt to collect the total amount and sometimes tack on unnecessary fees etc...adding up to a larger debt on your credit report sometimes more than what you originally owed to the original debtor.

If scummy debt collector fails at the attempt, say for a few years, they will then "charge off" the account and resell the bad debt to scummy debt collector #2 ! And it goes on and on and on. Its a loop hole that our government created for banks to extend lending and barrow money which has now become super abusive by banks and lawyers!

The best thing to do is find out what the Statue of Limitation is in your state. I know in Illinois without a written contract is 5 years and with a contract can be around 7-10 years could be longer since Illinois has nothing but scumbag corrupted politicians.

So know you ask yourself a question: "I live pay check to pay check and can barely put food on the table for my children, it will take me more than 5-8 years to pay off my debt while I'm putting food on the table but they keep increasing my debt with interest, and my credit will already be demolished by the time I pay it off and pretty much unrepairable, is it worth trying to pay it off or just wait it out the Statue of Limitation?"

My Answer: "Its better to live day by day, don't use any banking institutions if you don't have to. If you do need to use a bank, it's better to use your local credit union and support a local economy. Creditors and Banks can threaten to put a lien on your property, but if you rent a home and have nothing in your name and paychecks barely enough to feed my kids, they its like going after a homeless person. Its like my saying, They can will sue a homeless person for a million dollars and win in court, but collecting it is another story" I know its not the best answer but for anyone that has a similar situation as me, it sure as hell works and send a message to our banking institutions.
