I do payroll at work. Called trying to locate one of our past employees. Told them he didn't work here anymore. Then wanted to know if anyone here kept in touch with him and I said no. I could tell it wasn't a verification of employment.

They said they were from JPL and wanted to talk to me about a claim regarding some person I've never heard of before. They used my full name when they left message.
