Multiple back-to-back calls from this number as well as others allegedly from Texas (and one from the San Francisco Bay area?). I tried to call one number back and it went straight to a machine recording for "Condor Movers." I'm a female, and each caller all left voicemail messages on my phone for a person named "Greg Thompson,." They claimed they were contacting him about his upcoming move from Texas to North Carolina. I have never been to TX, but am a NC resident. The messages were all over-detailed, as if they were a phone-call based commercial. They all started out in a similar manner, They all repeated the name "Greg(ory) Thompson" several times in each of their messages, overly-articulately. I finally answered my phone (when I received the last call -- which came up as a San Francisco number), and this time it was a woman (all other calls had been from men). I was immediately firm/rude with her, and she seemed quite taken aback, and hung up on me quickly.
I have no idea what this is or what it could even be related to. Over the past two weeks I have been receiving numerous suspicious calls from unknown phone numbers. But today, they all left voice messages, and they all claimed to be from TX and acted as if they were confidently contacting a man named Gregory Thompson, even though my voicemail answering recording is clearly MY voice -- female, and my name is clearly stated -- which sounds nothing like "Greg Thompson." I have an unmistakably female voice.

Just as I was typing this report, I received another call. The caller was female again, the called showed up as being from Dallas, TX. She claimed to be from "Cross Country Movers." I immediately told her that she was contacting the wrong person and she quickly got off the line.

I would really like to know why this is happening, who these people are, and what I can do to stop it and protect myself.
