This is most definitely a scam. The IRS will always send a letter. I wish that these people could be traced by the phone number and indicted. I'm sure that the phone number is a fake and transfers to a different number.

Days in a row they have phoned me with an automatic dialer and message that the IRS is giving me final notice that they are suing me. They do not mention my name or any detail, just "call this number for details right now". I believe the IRS would want to be certain they are speaking to the right person, give details, ask questions, etc. I have had such a call years ago which resulted in an audit which I won.
