frequent calls, no one speaks, then hangup

Started receiving calls on my cell from this number. Two times a day. I don't answer since I don't know who is calling. They do not leave a message. I am on the National Do Not Call Registry for whatever good that does.

called me about new United Airlines reservations in Woodland Hills. Thick Filipino accent.

Some lady named " Betty" called and claimed she represented United Airlines. Then, she started to explain to me how I was invited to this grand opening they were going to have in Los Angeles Airport. I then told her " no thanks I have no time goodbye". Immediately her response was " you'll receive two free round trips tickets for your visit". That's when I realize it was scam. No way are two round trip tickets " free ". Avoid these callers because it's a scam. Other commenters have said that they got the same call, but different airline names. Interesting isn't it?

Woman with thick Filipino accent called representing United Airlines. Inviting me to grand opening of a new reservation center. I would be compensated 2 round trip tickets. I asked what the catch was. She said good question. Only my time. No obligation or money commitments. I asked how she got my number. Again, good question sir. We got your number from credit report lists and such. I said thank you, but take me off your list, and then hung up.

Woman with a thick (sounded like) Jamaican accent called and said she was with United Airlines, and they were opening a new reservations office in Woodland Hills. They wanted me to come to the grand opening and would compensate me with two round trip tickets. I immediately remember hearing about this type of scam and hung up.

Female (speaking broken English) claims to be calling on behalf of United Airlines in Orange, CA. Didn't know who she was calling and when I asked purpose of the call she couldn't verbalize. Voices in background suggest robo call center. I placed number on "ignore" on my phone
