#1. If you get repeated calls, allow a company to arrive for an appointment, get their business card first (I have a desk drawer in which I collect them) and then get a picture of their car plate. Now you know who the end-user is, and can hold them accountable, if needed.
#2. Inform the salesman/contractor, that the boiler room who calls a lot won't take you off their list, they just go to the next call and this happens multiple times a week or even per day.
"Sorry to inconvenience you (the installer etc.), but your company shouldn't employ unethical companies to supply leads..."
This has worked every time a new one pops-up, using another sweat shop to bother us at home.
Called about a special deal.......When asked to be removed from calling list, caller hung up. Called back and no answer or voicemail.
