I contacted my bank informing them I was interested in lowering my interest rate on my credit card, that I was responding to their call. Once I gave my bank teller the needed information, she checked her computer only to learn it was not the bank I deal with that called.

We talked for a bit before she realized it was a scam technic and informed me to not give them any information at all. I assured her I never contacted them and I called my bank first.

Today, I decided to see what they had to say, and before I did, I entered the phone number on my search engine and this is how I came here to this site. I am so glad I did.

I hope others are fortunate enough to contact their bank first before responding to the people trying to scam others in this trying time of our lives.

I got this call on my cell phone and used up precious minutes hearing the recording "This is Heather at Account Services... blah blah". I hung up, and added 818-420-8309 to the growing list of numbers for which the ring tone is "no ring." That's the only way I know of stopping this nuisance from bothering me again.
