Lowering credit card interest rates

FCC Complaint

When I answered the phone a prerecorded message said it was in regards to "my credit card" without identifying which card it was for and it asked me to press 1 to get lower interest rates. I hung up because it sounds like a scam.

Recording told me they needed to talk to me about my credit card balance and said it was my last notice. Said they could help me lower my interest rate.

"Do you want to lower your interest Rate?" Not sure if this is the name but that was the first question when I picked up the phone. Have received calls several times before from this source but I hung up after their first question on several occasions.

Purported to be my credit card company (though with no naming of my credit card company's name or even type--MC, Visa), and told me that it was my last day to respond to supposedly get lower interest rates on my (existing) credit card rates. It is my guess that this is a dishonest outfit, attempting to mine data from me.

Same as the above. A spam call regarding lower interest rates. Reported to FCC and FTC.

Called telling me I qualify for lower credit card rates, and then when I asked how they got my number, they turned indigent and kept repeating why, why, why, why.
