Ditto - scam. I misdialed a call to my cable tv co., got these folks (at 800-683-6651) who posed as offering a special promotion from the cable co, and I stupidly went along far enough to give them my credit card info. Then the rep wanted me to say my name for her to record my authorization for something, which further alerted me to danger. I used a Minnie Mouse voice. (Afterward I called my credit card company to report that I suspect that 800-683-6651 was a scam house. The $1.95 charge that was agreed to was already on the account, I wanted to be sure no further charges from that outfit appeared.) An hour later the scam co called back wanting me to say my name again. I told her I had called my credit card company, asked for details about her company, and I demanded several times to speak to her supervisor. She hung up. I called one of the numbers the first person gave me, 818-436-0436 and asked for a supervisor. Valencia got on the phone, tried to get my name etc. in an effort to "help" me. I just asked for info about American Savings, which seems like a scam, she would only say it's in Orlando Florida and is an advertising co.
