Got a vm with that call back number and decided to return the call in order to hopefully do my small part to cause a little pain to these asses. I spoke to a very-heavily accented gentlemen and provided him a fictitious name. He said, I m sorry, you have an outstanding warrant for not paying your federal taxes in 2011. I said, 'Oh my, how can this be? I am a law abiding citizen I always pay my taxes. This is terrible" after a few more back and forth the jackass said, "your total owed is $6,350". I asked how this was calculated? He sais this is what you owe. I said, " Hmm, was is the breakdown between interest, penalty and the actual amount. He said ," I don't know, but you owe this amount. I then replied, "What is the imputed interest rate? Did it move as the prime rate moved, or is it tied to LIBOR or some combination thereof?" At this point, Mr. Genius said that he did not know but a warrant had been sent for my arrest, and " If you disconnect this line it will be executed immediately!" " A warrant!" I replied. "What on earth I going to do" Where was the warrant delivered?".

He said " To your home". I said what address did they use? Did they use my regular address, or my time-share home?"
Jackass: "The address on file is in Brooklyn."
Me: Brooklyn NY?
Jackass: " Yes"
Me: But I never lived in Brooklyn. I don't even know where that is!
Jackass: " Well, what is your address?"
Me: 1313 Mockingbird Lane, Hollywood California.

As he begins to repeat the address back to me I decide it was time for the payback, and I launched into a tirade about ripping off innocent people and, which among other things, included threatening his various reproductive organs, after which I slammed the phone down.

Got their stupid threatening recording. Time to file online to the FCC. HAVE noticed when I do, all those damn calls stop.

I got the same call a few minutes ago. The guy had a heavy accent and I kept trying to admit that he was a scammer. When I told him that I am researching his number to check if it was genuine and that I know that Treasury or IRS will not call anyone by phone, he simply hung up. He did not give any specifics and kept saying that police will come and arrest me. He mentioned that there were errors in my 2011 filing.

The caller, who had a very heavy foreign accent, claimed to be from the US Treasury Department and threatened to prosecute for not paying the government. Definitely a SCAM!

Called me this morning from a Seatte #206-708-2849 and said that it was Dennis Quaid and to call him back at 818-474-2202 or I would be arrested for something....I made them play the recording over and over 4x's before it automatically hung up.

Recieved FOUR calls from these idiots in less than five hours all to vm. . I knew it must be a scare scam, since multiple parties live here and they gave no specific name as to whom they were calling for. Part sounds pre-recorded and they kept repeating the same message.

Left me a VM msg stating he was Dennis Quaid and there was an enforcement action against me and legal action would be taken if I didn't call him back right away. Would love for him to come in person to collect! LMAO, I hope NO ONE falls for this crap.

Went to voicemail, said his name was Dennis Grey, and ohhhhhh, I'm in so much trouble with the IRS! This is an old scam, you'd think they's have gotten new material by now.

Yes received a phone call from these jerks threatening legal action for
non payment. Just like everyone else here. I told him I would pay in cash
if they came right away!!. They hung up. I am a police officer, guess who would be wearing handcuffs??

Yep. Called me this afternoon and left a message on my machine. Apparently I'm in BIG trouble with the Treasury Department. I thought he said his name was Dennis Quaid ... but I guess it was only Dennis Gray. Shucks.

Yes I received a call with these scammers as well.
She ask me to hold after giving me the speech that I owe 6 thousands dollars and she was there to help me. But then she ask if she could put me on hold to talk to her supervisor. While on hold I was talking to my daughter and she gets back on the line to say I'm not to discuss this legal matter with anyone or call anyone. Hung up called back gave a fake name and got the same speech. I pray that no one falls for this scam!

Dec. 10, 2015 at 4:23 pm. Yes this caller just called me today from the phone number 818-474-2202 from Van Nuys, CA. He left me voice mail without his name saying that he is calling me with "An enforcement action that has been executed by the US Treasury in pending receivers attention. Ignoring this will be an intentional attempt to avoid initial appearance before a magistrate judge or a grand jury for a federal criminal offense." Then he repeated his number again. He also stated "I'd advise you to cooperate with us and to help us help you." This happened to me last year and my accountant and attorney stated that the IRS does not call you but rather they send you notifications in the mail. I would advise anyone who ever receives these phone calls please report them. Right now is when the scammers start calling so they can file a tax return in your name to obtain a refund even if you pay in or they want you to give them money. Most of these scammers target the elderly so please pass this along to everyone.

Received this call a number of times. Spoke with a "Mike Anderson" who sounded so far from being a Mike Anderson. He was going to send the marshall to arrest me. I told him I wanted to speak to his supervisor. Surprisingly, no supervisor was available or would not speak to me. He told me I owe $6350 from 2011. Asked who did my taxes, I would not give him a name. Also asked for my attorneys name, did not provide that either. If I did not comply with what he was telling me to do (which he never told me) the police would be coming to arrest me. I told him to call them that I would wait for them to come arrest me. I would not hang up because he wanted me to, he eventually hung up. My husband spoke to a guy called Alex Holmes, again did not sound like an Alex Holmes. I know that sounds cliche but every one of these people have a heavy Indian accent.

Been getting calls from this number for weeks! Figured it was a scam bc IRS contacts by mail--plus Saturday night at 8:00 pm!? Lol. I am going to report it, too
