a man with a heavy, nearly not understandable east indian accent said he was from microsoft and my computer was sending some kind of error message. i hung up on him. i have played along before and they try to get at least 300 dollars from people and want u to pay at a red telephone at a local pharmacy where the owner or manager is also east indian.....this according to them. they will not listen when u tell them to stop calling and have turned into a real nusance

I'm assuming this was a scam..I never contacted Microsoft, she said she was returning my call?
heavy Indian or Pakistan accent saying call was from USA based Office Headquarters. sure, because every one that grew up here lives to deal with deciphereing the thick accents of huge corporations..
fed up with this crap nonsense.

I received a call saying they were Microsoft calling about my computer; realizing it probably was a scam(laughter in back ground and unprofessional) I told them I was not answering any questions and promptly told them good-bye!

Okay these are very poor actors trying to act like Microsoft representative, telling you that someone is trying to hack into your computer and that your computer is telling them that you're being hacked so now they're going to try to help save you by getting you to let them into your computer so that they can hack you, what a bunch of walnuts.
