This number called at midnight. After confirming that this number was in the directory of scammers and wasn't some family member in crisis, I didn't answer.

Cash Advance scam.
I pressed zero to talk to a person and get to the bottom of it. I asked how they got my number. The guy said I applied for a loan and I insisted I did not. The guy then asked if I needed a loan. I told him this sounded like a fraudulent application and I needed to get to the bottom of it. He hung up on me. I am pasting this message on all of the message boards I can find.
