Bogus water test. Said I was referred to them by a neighbor/ Doubtful.
I did not fill out a survey on water softener, but I did purchase a gas cook top recently from Home Depot. I know Home Depot had to have given out my number to this company. Contacting Home Depot Corporate to complain. I'll never purchase an appliance from them again if I am going to get calls from outside sources.
The call is from a water softening company who calls after appliance purchases at Home Depot. Though the caller really makes it sound like they are Home Depot, I do not believe they are, thought I'm 99% sure that's where they get your number. I think it is a company called RainSoft.
I had to do a lot of digging to find out about the company. You can read the experience of one poor family who accepted the call and agreed to let Rainsoft test their water. This is not my story, nor do I know anyone involved, but it is very thorough and interesting.

Like above. I knew when I was filling out a "survey" for water habits while at home Depot katy tx that I was in for some type of spam. Never again. Number blocked.
They have been bugging me ever since I bought a washing machine from Home Depot. The water softening company is not Home Depot, but that is where they get their call list. I don't begrudge them trying to sell their product, but it is not a product I'm interested in sinking a lot of money in.
I filled out water softening survey at Home Depot. Block now.
