Asked for someone associated with landline by first name, in a more natural, less-than-telemarketing sort of way, which in turn led me to let my guard down and say, "No, [they aren't] here. May I ask who's calling?" Then there was silence. I repeated my previous answer, and still no response, then promptly hung up. This was made more creepy by the fact that the caller asked for someone associated with the residence number, but not the primary owner, suggesting more than a random call.
Here's an example I found with the same caller's voice posted by someone on another forum, where he also asks for resident by their first name:

Stay away. This reeks of fraudulence, and while I can't prove it yet, it sounds similar to phony collection agencies who try to reopen old claims sold off to them, by getting a live person as "admission" to being at large and "avoiding payment."
