John Lewis called me: same robo script. I hung up.

I just received a phone call from John Lewis said formal complaint has been filed on my son and if I know his whereabouts to contact the office immediately at 843-543-5765 or next step will be notifying the proper authorities. This is a Scam

Has called me, my husband and my ex-husband all in ONE DAY! This is what happens when Equifax gets hacked!!

I never answer but they leave voice mails. Threatening male voice says, "This is John Willis. There have been complaints filed against (robo says name) in our office. If you know the whereabouts of (robo says name) call our office back at 843-534-5765. Our next step will be to contact the proper authorities." The same voice also calls from 866-684-9354. I've also received calls with the same script only with a female voice. It happens multiple times a day almost every day not just on my phone but all my relatives phones now too. Always with my husband's name, no one else's. Origin phone numbers change after being used for about a week but are usually 800 numbers. I just never answer 800 numbers anymore.

yes this number 843-534-5765 also called my work place, asking for me my co-worker asked them what company are they calling from and they didn't give an answer, put her on hold than came back on and ask again my name she said NO they put her on hold again and than hung up. Fraud, Scammers, and I'm pissed for calling my work place. SSS

The name was John Lewis and he called from 843-534-5765 out of South Carolina. He has left messages on both my cell voice mail as well as my work voicemail stating they are looking for me and want to know my whereabouts and I was in trouble with the law. I called them back on my land line asking why they were contacting me and all they would say is this "my name". I did not answer but when I began to yell and ask them more questions they were silent and finally hung up. But then today they called my office phone and the number popped up so I answered it. It was a recording of the same thing as the day before. About six months ago I got the same time of call/recording, only from a 202 number out of Texas.

They called my hubby's phone asking for me by my maiden name.. Scam.. I have attached the actual audio recording, and a transcript from the message: "Hello, my name is Jonathan Lewis. I'm calling today. In regards to inform important that's been filed against one Janice who will if you have any information as to the whereabouts of Janice who will please contact our office immediately at 843-534-5765 again, that number is 843-534-5765 and our next step will be notifying the proper authorities. Thank you."
