they are "calling from account services" and want to offer a reduced interest rate on a credit card. I have no existing relationship with this company.

Lower interest rates. I pressed 1 to speak to a "representative" who then said the call was about Visa, Mastercard or Discover. I asked him to take me off the call list, I indicated that I have asked before, and that I was reporting the call to the FCC. He responded with "Leave me alone" To which I said "Exactly, I want you to leave me alone."

It's a fake call trying to scam credit card information. They claim that the Fed just lowered rates and they can get me a 12.9% rate on my balances "if I act NOW". It's fraud that they're perpetrating! It's a recorded message at first and then you can push "1" to get to a live person. Which I did...and then I tell them to go to hell because I know what they're doing. They just hang up then.

I believe this recorded message is the same one for credit card services. Usually Rachel or Ann is the name used in all the previous type calls of this nature when I have answered these calls in the past, unaware at those times what the calls were. I even tried answering to opt out of the calls, but this option is no longer really offered anymore...so I don't answer them and they go to voicemail and still these have to be dealt with one way or another. Some time back when I have talked to a live operator telling them I would like to be removed from their databases and lists, they generally get ignorant, or rude, or lie that they will and then disconnect without giving their name, number, or connecting me with a supervisor/manager.

I don't answer this call anymore after months of this. I've tried to get information and tell them I'm on the DoNotCall Registry, but they just hang up. The recording is something like...."you have been selected or this is your last opportunity to take advantage of."
