I was also contacted by 843-619-3526 as well as many many others this past 5 to 6 years it just seems no matter what you do it just keeps getting worse. I researched some of this and found that even the county sells our information for marketing as well as your cell and land line phone companies even though many companies deny they do that. I even contacted a local TV station about doing a consumer interest story but they said it would not stop it anyway and they felt it was not a subject they wanted to run a story on. I am now seeking others that maybe interested in starting an online petition to submit to FTC, FCC and other government agencies. I think we need to do something and rebel against these practices. In my opinion these practices also contribute to crimes such as stalking and harassment as well as many other crimes when they make our personal information public to anyone on the internet as well as telemarketers. The only places that should really have a reason to have our information is tax offices and law enforcement not to be shared with businesses and general public. All I am saying is I have no issue with business wanting to sell products and marketing but I feel we should have the right to opt out of of these practices.
