I have received multiple calls from this number recently. They have also called my sister, whom I rarely talk to and have never given her number out and her last name is different from mine. They have also contacted my parents, my ex inlaws etc. I contacted the company that they said they are collecting from and they informed me that a: i do no owe them any money and never have b: if I owed them moey it would stay in house they do not send out for court it's not worth it and c: to call and report this through their top people So, please be careful, ask for a bill to be sent to prove it, because they won't they will only continue to threaten you.

In my casde, it was a legitimate call from a court hearing notification agent using alternative contact information (in this case for my brother) that they received from a skip trace service. They want my brother to call them so he will know that there is a court case against him. I would advise people that this is likely not a fraudulent scammer, but might be a good contact to pass along to the family member they are calling about. The court case will happen with or without them being there to defend themselves.

This is what they told my sister when they called her. I called them to find out what this was about and they claim I owe on a payday loan that I never had. Tried telling me the bank account that was used but that account had been closed for years before I supposedly got the loan. They keep threatening to take me to court but cant send me anything in the mail. This has been going on for 3 months now and not a single court summons. They have my address. They are trying to bully people into paying money for something that don't exist. I would have your brother check into it.

It is a SCAM!! Please do not give them any information. I have been called by these types of people in the last 10 years. They are trying to steal money and gain information. They change their numbers every year.

Just got the same message. Claim number for and message intended for ex wife of all people. Not sure how they got my number...

1-844-261-9166 My son received a call asking for me from this number claiming I am being sued for a debt I PAID YEARS BEFORE. THIS IS A TOTAL SCAM!!!!!!!!!! They grab info from people and use their background debt issues to attempt to re-collect on a debt. If you check your credit score and see there are no liens or credit collections against and you have paid all your bills then REPORT THESE PEOPLE AS SCAM ARTISTS! also CALLED FROM 844-298-4709 TO MY FATHERS HOUSE.

Called my wife, my cell and my work phone today. When they called me I told them I don't have any PayDay loan and I told them to stop calling or I would report to my lawyer. They said go ahead and see you in court, and hung up. Then they called my work number....

Received call from them 2 days ago and for fun, I called them back. They wanted me to confirm the last 4 of my ss# and said they had allegations against me an unless I verified my ss# they were not at liberty to give me any information. I complied, confirmed my name and my last 4 because I wanted to know info they have. They asked was my email address..., do I work for..., is the last 4 of my bank account..., do I live at.... The info they have is not accurate so I told them no. Now, it was 13 years ago and it seriously concerns me that these scammers have that much info about me. They said that I owed money for a payday loan that I did not pay and I could settle out of court. I told them I did not have any payday loans (which is true) and that someone obviously got my name and SSN and has used it. They told me good luck in court so I told them, if you have paperwork for me to go to court, then send it and I'll see them in court. They hung up. They have called again yesterday and today. They also called my husband. UPDATE: I just called and they say my case is with legal and I should be receiving paperwork for court. If by some chance I do receive something, that's just some body I will file a counter suit against because I know I don't owe any payday loans. I did tell them to cease and desist and remove my name from their calling list. now lets see what happens.

Oh my gosh. I got the exact same phone call, but they were saying that I took out a payday loan of $300, which I know for a fact I did not do. They had the last four of my bank account number, last four of my social, and my previous address. I called who they said I had the loan with, Cardinal somebody, and they don't have any record of me ever taking out a loan! Please let me know how yours turns out, it seems like this is a big scam...

Just received this same call...how to they get names of relatives with private numbers..this is a scam and should be outlawed.

This is a fraudulent debt collection scheme, generally linked to PayDay Loan (or related) application information they have harvested including the applicant's list of references and associates.

Not sure, they don't say anything other then they have a claim number and want to talk to you. Extremely cryptic in voice message.
