I received a call from the number 844-279-7429 and I didn't answer the phone at the time but the person left a message stating they have a claim #. I called the number back and the girl kept trying to get me to giver her information via my social security number. I wouldn't give any information and told her that I am not verifying anything until she tells me what this is about. She said that they have a claim # and a company is trying to take me to court for a pay day loan that was taken out in 2013 and funded into a Chase bank account. I told her that is COMPLETELY wrong and told her I have not taken out any pay day loan and don't have a Chase bank account. She proceeded to tell me that I did. I hung up the phone and immediately called my layer. My layer said that it definitely sounds like this is a SCAM and not to provide any information or speak with them again. Unfortunately, I do not remember the name of the company the girl said she was with. She was foreign and had a very strong accent. I was very hard to understand her at times. THIS IS A SCAM! DO NOT SPEAK WITH THESE PEOPLE OR GIVE ANY INFORMATION TO THEM!

i got a call telling me i owed 400.00 for a payday loan in 2012 and the Bank of Berne is suing me well i called the bank and THAT WAS NOT TRUE THEY SAID IT WAS A SCAM SOME PEOPLE

People that say they are legal department at MCO calling about payday loan collection amount due of $400. If don't pay will go to jail. When you ask more than twice who they are they get upset and raise their voice and say they have already told you several times. They are foreign with a strong accent. Thinking they are from India. They say they are in Miami, Florida. An automated message comes on when answering the phone and says if you are not the correct person to hang up. They know the last 4 of people's social security numbers and email addresses. I blocked both my cell and landline and then they called with a different number the next day, 7431 and now 7429. They are relentless and said they will call me everyday until I pay. I told them the last 4 of my social was incorrect, not me, and they said they will have to find who has those last 4 numbers. Very annoying is all I can say since I work my job from home!

Today is Wednesday, I have gotten a call every single day starting Monday, Nov. 30. I called them back on Monday because the automated message said it was regarding a claim. Claim for what, I wasn't sure, so I called. BIG MISTAKE! I guess I do not understand why these scammers cannot be stopped! I blocked the number on my phone and cell phone. Today they used a different number, which ends in 7429, yesterday ended in 7431. They say the same thing as they say to everybody else listed above. I owe money from 4 years ago in the amount of $400 for a payday loan. Never heard of this payday loan place and I know I don't owe $400 to a debt collector. I explained this to them and then they said if I didn't pay the $400 I had to go to jail. Oh, okay, sure...I never got a letter or a notice from the supposed actual place but yet they are going to call me to give them money over the phone and if I don't pay send me to jail. Good luck to them. They said they are MCO calling from Miami, Florida. I doubt they are even in the United States, most likely set up in a van in India! Losers! So sick of these scammers calling people. Worries me as to how many people in this country have actually paid them money! I just keep hanging up because the automated message says to hang up if I am not who I am. Also, I told them the last 4 digits of my social were not mine, so they said sorry they would try to find who was associated with those last 4 digits. OMG! They are stupid.

I received a call from them yesterday. They claimed that I owe money from a payday loan taken out in 2012. I definitely did not take out a loan. I asked them for their physical address so that I could send them a certified debt validation letter request. They refused to give me an address or any information on their company. I asked them how people usually pay them if they can't mail them a check. The guy told me that they only accept a debit card number over the phone...lol. They emailed me what appears to be a fake "debt verification" that includes practically no information. This definitely is a scam.

Been getting harassed by this number for 2 weeks now. They are even calling my family members looking for me. I called them back and listened to what they had to say, the same as everyone above. Telling me I owe $400 from a payday loan I took out in 2011 which isn't true. I told them I wanted proof of this and they said they would provide proof after I gave them my debit card info so I hung up on them. How do I forward this number to the FBI?

I received a call from this number and I called back. The person had a really strong accent and got upset because I could not understand him well. I received another call today and decided to answer and see what was going on.. The same person had my name and part of my social correct. All the information was outdated and he claimed I had a huge amount of money deposited to my Bank of America account. When I said I was a lawyer and that his info was wrong, that I never had a Bank of America account and that he should go ahead and take me to court he got really nervous and tried to challenge me. I just told him to stop calling my house and hang up.

Called me about a loan I never took. Also have outdated info and used my maiden name.

Got my Arab call too. He asked if I lived at an address at one point. I played with him for a bit since I had nothing better to do. It's definitely a scam. They've called many times. I'm forwarding the number to the FBI as everyone else should too

Definitely a scam. I called them 2 times after I confirmed with Bank of America that I did not have an open account at the time they said I received a cash advance. First time I called they said I received a cash advance loan on 01/31/2013 for the amount of 300.00. The second time I called they said I received an cash advance for the amount of 450.00 on 04/15/2012. I was surprised that on the first call I spoke with someone who sounded American, the second call was with someone who had a Middle Eastern accent.
