I just got a voice mail call today from Miranda Stewart of PPS Deliveries from what she claimed to be their Central Office number 866-319-0499. She stated that they were trying to deliver a package to me yesterday, 2/14/2017, and needed my signature but were not able to reach me; however, I was home all day yesterday. She also provided me with a tracking number to give when I call back. Sounds very fishy.
I just relieved a phone call and she said they deliver paperwork for a lawyers office so I kindly said give me the lawyers info I have my own and I will kindly forward it she said no we will just show up at your job and embarrass you LoL like y'all don't know where I work just started a new job but Good luck they have to hate their job
I got an unidentified call with the same script. Christine Pierce had my address info, and the message said that they will be serving a warrant.
After I saw this page, I found a website (paypps.com) that, for some reason PPS stands for "Professional Placement Services". Not sure what placement services have to do with collections, but they seem to be all about debt collections. There is a link to "Pay your bill" and they are so inept that they have to provide you a password on the first page in order to access the payment system. I logged in with the "Case #" that was provided in their voicemail to see how much they think I "owe" and while there are places to enter your credit card info, there is no indication of how much they will charge the card. What kind of idiot would blithely give up their credit info without knowing for how much? Anyway, they are based in WI, and i will be reporting them.I got an unidentified call with the same script. I got a call from a Christine Pierce at PPS Deliveries for some network of attorneys. States they have some court papers with my name, DOB and SS#. They gave me a case #10426827104 and she needed to have her "process server" stop by my house or place of employment. First of all, why would a company that is going to "serve" me with a summons call in the first place? I have been served with a summons and I had no advance warning (it was work related to testify on a file). Second, if she has my address then why call to confirm? Third if she has my address (she repeated it on her recording) that is scary. She left a phone number of 877-921-7229 and to call her back. I'm not returning the call and I'm saving the message and next time she calls I'm going straight to the my local sheriff's office and filing a complaint.
I just received a call from these people. The voicemail was garbled and didn't catch the woman's name. Apparently, she didn't catch mine either, though, because she referred to me as Tessa and that isn't my name.
