I got the same text message as KAT above. I called the phone number on the back of my CITI card; not the phone number on the text message. After talking to the fraud department they just wanted to verify that I had opened up an American Airlines Advantage card (didn't know that AAdvantage was with CITI card). While I'm glad this turned out to be nothing, I'm also glad I didn't overreact by calling the number that they texted to me.

suspicious activity on my citi card ending in ****(correct#). call this number. i've been suckered to the tune of many dollars before. did research on this number and found this site. wow, i'm glad i didn't respond by calling them back.
