Same deal as these other folks, but when I asked about information, they told me to shut up and threatened physical bodily harm. Still never got the information since they hung up after making threats.

Got this call today and i have visual voicemail so here is the message they left""Good morning this is Investigator Smith calling in regards to a complaint filed against Melinda A. After a thorough review and investigation of this affidavit I do find the documents forwarded to my office do indeed support the order for you to appear in court on alleged check fraud. Melinda would like to speak with you prior to signing off on your paper work I need you to contact me immediately at 844-428-5624. That is a listed toll free number so you shouldn't have any difficulty returning my call please reference pre-trial docket number 117...." the scary part of this is my caller ID showed the number for the local state troopers office!!!!! Glad i called and let them know, they asked me to file a report. Hope they get charged with impersonating an officer of the law. So aggravated right now.

Got a call from an unknown caller, ignored it & then got a call from a number with a local area code, ignored it & there was a voice message from "case investigator Smith" going on about wanting me to appear in court for alleged check fraud. He gave me some bs docket number to reference & told me to call 844-428-5624. When I called that number he asked me if I wanted to either dispute this in court or settle outside of court. He claimed I owed some cash advance company $$ which was bs because I had paid them back in full back in '09. I think the sketchy pay day loan website probably sold my info to these scammers. This same exact thing happened to me years ago & I ignored it & nothing came of it because it's a SCAM. He was rude & very aggressive. Ignore this number!

Alleged check fraud is what these guys say. Then when you tell them they are just scammers they will call you every name in the book and say bad things about all of your family members. They are cowards.
