Official Marketplace website (www.healthcare.gov) has a page that says 844-477-7500 is a valid Marketplace phone number used for calling people in order to update their accounts.

They claim they are the Healthcare Marketplace; however, did not personally identify herself. Said she had to give me information about my account and wanted all my personal information (which I did not give since they called me). She gave me the same phone number to call her back at 844-477-7500. Instead, I actually called the number for the Healthcare Marketplace and spoke to a representative who stated she did not know why they would call me as everything is in order! Praised me for not giving out my information.

844-477-7500 IS A LEGITIMATE NUMBER FOR GOV. MARKETPLACE HEALTHCARE. IT IS USED FOR OUTGOING CALLS TO VERIFY APPLICATION INFORMATION. I HAVE BEEN THROUGH THIS MERRY GO ROUND AND HAVE SPOKEN WITH LEGIMATE GOV HEALTHCARE SUPERVISOR ABOUT MY APPLICATION FROM THIS NUMBER. DO NOT DISMISS IT AS A SCAM!

I just received a call from them and I did not answer due to the information I seen on line in regards to this number.
