Normally they leave a message that starts half-way "...evenue Agency ..." This time I picked up, seems that an automated system recognized it wasn't my recording machine and directed my call to a human being. In this case, the gentleman that was assigned to the call claimed to be an officer with the CRA badge id 256WDX asking me to call back to the same number he was calling from as there was a case, something with money owed to the CRA. Gentleman had a strong indian accent, but he claimed his name to be Patrick Sims. I'm sure the lack of jobs is pushing desperate fathers to aid in criminal activities impersonating federal agencies and their agents, I hope they see the wrong in their acts, denounce their organizations and find a job that will allow them to keep their head tall and be a good role model for their kids. What goes around, comes around.

Claiming to calling with regard to alleged tax default. I believe they were claiming the CRA - sounds like a scam. see CRA website for info on this and associated scams
