Was just called by this idiot who claimed to be Kevin smith with a Chinese accent. Said if I don't pay $4900 by the time I get off the phone I will be arrested within the next 3 days, my licence and passport has been suspended. He said that I had fraudulently claimed taxes that did not include money that came into make account and I will have to go to court and pay 50,000 fine. I asked for information about my claim and he couldn't give me any stating that it was illegal for revenue Canada to give info before court. He refused to call me back so that I could verify info and when I asked him to hold while I made another call, he hung up.

This is a totally bogus call and should not be returned by anyone. Mine sounded like a robot, but they still can't seem to find anyone who speaks English properly. The verbatim message: "We decided to initiate legal proceedings against your name so in next 24 hours we will be marking a lien on your access and your bank accounts in your inability to settle your accounts with CRA. A bill collection officer will visit you soon (NB: too much watching "The Godfather II") to complete the paperwork. If you don't call immediately or if we don't hear form your attorney either, then you'll be sole responsible for any legal consequences." These calls usually originate in India and the scumbags there once reached a CBC reporter who said he knew it was a scam and Mr. Scumbag said, "The Canadian people are not so smart. They are fools and they are paying every day us $10,000." (Speaking of their English skills). Anyway, don't be one of their victims. CRA never, ever communicates with people like this or issues threats, it's a total scam and everyone should ignore the call completely.

This caller represent CRA but not appearing their name at the caller ID is this a real CRA!
