Scam. They called my Aunt and Uncle (probably googling last names) looking for me. When I called back they started talking about a bounced check for 3800. (Never wrote a check that large before) and officers are coming to my door to serve a criminal warrant and I can settle for a certain percent to avoid "possible jail time". When I started asking questions to determine if this was a Scam, he started calling me names and hung up on me.

This number call me as a department of check service regarding a pay day loan from over 12 years ago. Demanding a payment or they were gonna come to my residents. They used a local residential number for the Sheriff's department claiming to be the investigator but when you call it back you can not get in touch with them. It's two guys

Investigator Brown called for my wife and left a docket number and this phone number. She said to prevent her from coming to my wife's job or residence call back quickly. The number on my caller ID was the local sherrif office, and the man who answered the 844 number she left as a call back number supposedly worked for a check collection dept and said my wife was due in court. When I would not verify her info, he said tell her good luck in court. When I called the sherriff dept they had no knowledge of this investigator or my wife's court date.

My boyfriend and I just received a call from a restricted number and they left this number as the number to call back. Both my voicemail and his referenced him. It freaked us out!
