When I answer, they tell me this message is from EOS Canada and to contact them at the number they called from. Researched and found they are a Collection agency out of Scarborough, Ontario.

Well that seems stupid. Let's spend money to buy someone's debt that clearly hasn't paid it off in the first place if it has had to be written off. Seems like an odd way to attempt to make money if you ask me.

A collection agency which buys old debt that has been written off and no longer considered a valid debt. They bully people into thinking they have to pay said debt even though there is no legal requirement.
